Governing Principles:

  1. Mindful of the Christian commitment to serve, these policies are in compliance with and supplemental to the Constitution and Bylaws of International Christian Church and its vision, mission and purpose.
     

  2. The Church, through its Senior Pastor and lay leadership, reserves the right to make final determinations as to whether a person or group may use Church buildings, facilities, and/or equipment.
     

  3. Any group or individual (using the buildings, facilities or equipment of ICC) found to be in violation of these guidelines, or found to be in conflict with the purposes and/or mission of International Christian Church may have those usage privileges revoked.
     

  4. The Church reserves the right to have an ICC representative at any meeting or event on the premises.
     

  5. Fees collected for the use of Church buildings, facilities and equipment will be used to defray operational expenses at International Christian Church.

 

Use of the Church Facilities (in order of priority)

  1. Category 1 ‐ International Christian Church groups, work areas and committees using the facilities as sponsored by the various Ministries of ICC and/or the Administrative Council.
     

  2. Category 2 ‐ Active Church Members needing the facilities for family events and gatherings.
     

  3. Category 3 – Inactive Members or non-church members or groups.
     

 

Policies and Provisions

Restrictions

  1. Smoking is not allowed on ICC premises.

  2. Alcoholic beverages are not permitted on ICC premises.

  3. No furnishings or equipment shall be borrowed or removed from the buildings or the grounds without approval of the Building Committee.

  4. No Church property will be used for personal business, profit or any political purposes.

  5. Animals are not permitted unless they are service animals used in aiding an individual.

  6. Groups may only use rooms, facilities and equipment for which they have applied and been approved.

  7. The Sanctuary/Chapel facilities are to be used for the worship of God. Use for any purposes other than religious ceremonies and approved Church functions are not allowed.


Requests for meeting or activity space

  1. All requests for facility use must be made by filling out a Facilities Usage Request Form. This can be done online at www.iccva.org/facilityusage or through the Church office (open 9 am-1:30pm Tuesday-Friday).

  2. Submission 60 days in advance is recommended in order to secure desired date.

  3. Deposit of 25% required 30 days in advance; full payment is required 5 days prior to event.

  4. Refunds: if cancelled 60 days prior - full refund; 30 days prior - 75%; 7 days prior - no refund.

  5. All requests will include the name of the Group Representative, and description of the planned activities.

  6. An e-mail confirmation will be sent to the applicant within 24 hours.

  7. Requests from Category 1 and 2 Users shall be coursed through the Church Office; requests from Category 3 Users must be approved by the Senior Pastor.


Requests for special equipment or facilities

  1. Kitchen

    1. Kitchen usage request allows for staging and serving pre-prepared food.

    2. Cooking is only allowed if supervised by a Kitchen Certified ICC Member; this will incur additional charge.

    3. Ovens, stoves, refrigerator, and dishwasher are not to be used without a Kitchen Certified ICC Member. Ice maker and sink may be used.

    4. Kitchen must be cleaned and returned to original condition.

  2. Audio/Visual Equipment (if available) may be requested as part of the Usage Request Form to the Church Office.

  3. Music and Sound Equipment: ICC does not rent out musical instruments or sound equipment. If a technician or musician is hired from ICC, they will provide their own equipment. For further questions please contact our Worship Pastor through the Church Office.

 

Category 1 Users (International Christian Church Ministry Event)

Security

  1. The ICC Ministry Leaders will support all ICC security practices in force at the time of use of the facility.

  2. Unlocking and locking the doors are the responsibility of the Ministry Leaders. At no time should interior/exterior doors be blocked or left ajar compromising safety and security of the facility.

  3. The Ministry Leaders are responsible for making sure all persons exit the premises and that the Church premises are secure at the end of the event.


Environmental Requirements

  1. Groups using the buildings are responsible for turning off the lights and removing trash to the dumpster.

  2. Heating and cooling controls are preset and should not be disturbed or adjusted.

  3. All furnishings and equipment should be returned to their proper place before leaving the building. This includes chairs, tables, kitchen equipment and audio / visual aids.

  4. At the conclusion of any activity, all food and personal items brought in must be removed from the premises.

  5. The ICC Facilities Overseer or Church Office must be notified immediately concerning any safety mishaps, building or equipment malfunctions, or damage incurred.

 

Category 2 Users (ICC Member Family Event)

Security

  1. The designated Group Leader must agree to and support all ICC security practices in force at the time of use of the facility.

  2. Unlocking and locking the doors are the responsibility of the ICC Facility Overseer.

  3. At no time should interior/exterior doors be blocked or left ajar compromising safety and security of the facility.

  4. The Group Leader should not admit anyone other than those known to be a member of their group. Group Leaders knowingly doing so may risk having their group's use of the facilities forfeited by such actions.

  5. The ICC Facility Overseer is responsible for making sure all persons exit the premises at the designated time, lights are turned off, doors are locked and that the Church premises are secure.

Liability and Insurance:

  1. Damage to the buildings or facilities and broken or missing equipment will be the responsibility of the group using the facilities.

  2. International Christian Church is not responsible for accidents, injuries or loss of personal property in connection with any of its facilities. ICC will require a signed waiver of liability by groups or individuals desiring to utilize the facilities.
